Immortal Jellyfish

I was surprised to learn about the immortal jellyfish (Turritopsis dohrnii): under stress or injury, it can revert to its juvenile form and begin life anew. The process can repeat infinitely, and though the new creature isn’t exactly the same as before, it’s the closest thing nature has to immortality.

I often wish I could do the same — ditch life when it gets hard and let my younger, more energetic self handle the existential problems.
