Sunday in Bloom

Sometimes a drawing appears in my head long before it’s born on paper — usually after considerable delay and constant nagging. This is one of those.
My initial resistance to bringing this imagination into real life came from my struggle with the meaning of art. I wanted my work to be meaningful — at least to convey a thoughtful message or offer a new perspective. This piece does none of that. It exists purely for the joy of creating a visually delicious treat for my eyes.
I’m glad I made it eventually. Maybe it taught me something about the meaning of art I’ve been searching for all along.
Curious what I'm brewing?
Stay close.
